Mid 18th century oval black and gilt Mirror

An unusual 18th century oval wall mirror with gilded and beaded sight edge, within a black dental-moulded and gold-coloured outer beaded surround, where the raised decoration consists of applied pieces of cast lead. This is a most unusual method of construction and suggests estate manufacture, following the design of fashionable frames.
