An exceptional and very rare mid 17th century Charles II olive wood chest of drawers of low proportions Veneered with 'oyster-cut" veneers of olive wood and crossbanded in Holly with a geometric pattern to the top and large inlaid circles to each side.
This is a superb example of hugely appealing small proportions and in glorious condition.
Believed to date from about 1665 to 1675 with plain-box drawer construction without runners and early hand-cut dovetail joints.
Feet have been replaced with good looking authentic copies.
