Early 19th century Physician's Apothecary/Medecine Box

Circa 1840
A facinating and rare early 19th century Doctor's Medecine box in very complte condition (WITH EVERY SINGLE ORIGINAL AND UNDAMAGED BOTTLE AND STOPPER). With a hidden secret compartmet at the rear for the more potent concoctions which is only accessable by releasing a small secret lever in the main compartment. Retaining a vast quantity of original bottles and eqipment for the travelling physician. All contained in delightful, figured mahogany box with flush fitting countersunk handles and escucheons, and even retaining the original key.
An outstanding and highly desirable example all in excellent original condition troughout. Although medicine boxes do come onto the market from time to time it is almost unheard of for every original bottle and stopper to be present.
