Pair carved giltwood scrolled monopodia/wall corbels

A good pair of well carved mid 19th century Italian wall scrolls with original painted and gilded decoration. finely carved with great depth and 'movement'.
Would make a great pair of console tables by adding semi-circular marble or glass tops, or a single console with one at each end and possibly a marble back.
