A fine quality and especially handsome early 19th century, 'flat to wall' mahogany stick barometer by Lehours of Paris. The well figured and patinated case with exposed mercury column and bulb, with silvered dial above engraved with the makers name and the usual French settings from "Tres Sec" to "Tempête", then, unusually, two particularly low pressure readings have been recorded below: "Paris, 22nd November 1768" and "25th December 1821".
